This program is focused on accompanying and guiding America’s veterans and their families through their life stories toward a more peaceful ending.
Through special training, our staff and volunteers have learned how to serve veterans through the challenges they may be facing from illness, isolation or traumatic life experience.
The program fits with our organization’s philosophy to acknowledge that each patient has a unique life story and a unique set of needs that must be respected, especially at the end of one’s life.
We believe our veterans have done everything asked of them in their mission to serve our country and we believe it is never too late to give them a hero’s welcome home.
It is our mission to serve these men and women with the dignity they deserve.
We are honored to be a part of this program and we are also grateful to our local veterans who volunteer in our “Vets to Vets” Volunteer Program. They help us recruit and train veterans to assist with other veterans who are at the end of life.
